On June 5, 2013 the British daily newspaper, The Guardian says they have classified NSA documents with and order from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, which required Verizon to give all the data from the smartphones of all Americans to the FBI and the NSA. Later on June 9, 2013 Edward Snowden reveals his identity and meets the reporters in Hong Kong. In June 23, 2013 the US revokes Edward Snowden’s passport and issues a request for extradition so he decides to run away to Moscow who will have later on August 1, 2013 given him asylum for a year after being in the airport of Moscow for 39 days.
The 6 of July of 2013 an article in the Brazilian daily O Globo the journalist Glenn Greenwald reveals how the NSA used the Fairview program to gain access to the internet and telephone data of Brazilians. But later Glenn discovered by Snowden revealed documents that citizens and diplomats of other Latin American countries had been spied.
